Senior Care Assistant Nights- required for our brand-new luxury care home 'Selwood House' in Charlton Down, Dorchester, Dorset, Part of the Country Court Family.

:00-08:00) Selwood House Care Home located in Charlton Down near Dorchester accommodates up to 84 residents, and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to cater for various care needs. Specialising in residential care, dementia care, and short-term respite care, Selwood House will provide a warm welcome as soon as you set foot through the door. ABOUT THE SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT ROLE Within your role as a Senior Care Assistant, you can really make a difference to our residents' lives. Your responsibilities will include:
Aiding residents emotional well-being and social needs Administration and monitoring of medications to residents. Supporting residents at meals time Mentor & assist new employees. Implement, monitor and review care plans to meet residents specific needs. Plan, allocate & supervise the work of the team of care assistants *This is not intended as an exhaustive description of duties, please see the job description for full details. Experience as a Senior Care Assistant & leading a team. Be no stranger to working night shifts Have a friendly & caring attitude. Able to engage well with the residents and their families Have an understanding of people with Dementia NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social care or willing to work towards this. Great communication skills, both written & verbal.
