We are looking for a caring, compassionate Senior Carer Unit Manager who has a minimum qualification of SVQ level 3. The following SVQ level 3 elements that are classed as optional units are required for this post:
Unit H5S104(SCDHSC0328) - contribute to the planning process with individuals Unit DK2X04(SFHCHS3) - administer medication to individuals
Flexibility and the ability to adapt are essential. Willingness to partake in additional clinical skills training is required. Key skills include: Organization Time management Prioritizing needs of residents Empathy Maintaining confidentiality with residents, stakeholders, and human resources
Care Home experience is essential at a Senior Care level. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and IT competency, demonstrating compassion and commitment to promoting excellent quality care at all times, focusing on supporting and promoting our residents' independence and well-being.
Your duties as a Unit Manager will include: Managing and supervising care staff, displaying effective use of line management Administration and management of medication Ordering of medication Supporting and completing care planning Supporting with rota planning and allocations Communicating with residents' representatives Supporting residents with essential care needs, including meaningful activities Facilitating and participating in care reviews and multidisciplinary meetings Supporting inductions, completing appraisals, and supervision with the care team Participation in recruitment Supporting and complementing the nurse in charge in the day-to-day running of the home, including pre-admission assessments
