Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Senior Care Assistant to join an Adults Residential Care Home on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract on a full-time basis.
The Role
As an Agency Care Officer / Senior Care Assistant you will lead a team of care workers over a shift and participate in the delivery of care for people with acute and complex needs. This includes:
Giving medications to residents Managing the care team on duty Telephone calls Managing the shift safely and ensuring safe practice and care is given at all times Updating care records using an online care system
The role involves working across different shift patterns to ensure that residents are supported on a 24/7 basis.
Requirements:
Experience of leading a team of care workers in delivering care and support. Extensive experience of providing personal care and support to people. Knowledge and experience of delivering effective person-centred care, including dignity, respect, privacy, independence, and choice. Able to communicate persuasively with compassion, empathy, and respect. Able to plan and prioritize tasks and actions for self and team across a shift.
