Per hour Other Benefits: Paid Travel Time Paid Leave (Up to 28 Days) Company Pension Scheme Free Training Free Uniforms Free PPE Description: At Day to Day Care, our services are tailored to the specific needs of our clients, and we are currently looking for enthusiastic, dedicated Homecare Workers to uphold and deliver the high standards of care that our clients require to remain living within the comfort of their own homes. As a Homecare Worker, you will provide assistance ranging from personal care (e.g., help with getting up, washing, bathing, and toileting) to practical support with domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, shopping, and preparing and cooking meals. In some cases, and only where you have been properly trained, you may be required to provide specialized care to support people with more complex needs. Operating mainly in the Bromley and Orpington areas, all our Homecare Workers are assigned to specific neighborhoods and allowed sufficient travel time between appointments. This ensures you will not be rushing from one appointment to another nor traveling long distances between care calls. We also ensure you have enough time to give your clients the high-quality support our reputation relies on. We provide the necessary and time-critical information you need to do your job using mobile phone technology, making it easier for you to perform well and providing peace of mind in emergencies. As a Day to Day Care Homecare Worker, you will be challenged daily. We aim to deliver the best possible care at home to our clients, and we can only do this if you are the best. The role demands high-quality candidates who are flexible, reliable, and client-focused. That’s why we emphasize recruiting the right people and ensuring everyone can reach their full potential through ongoing training and career development. We value, respect, and trust every member of our team because we select people with the right attitude and necessary aptitude for homecare support. Qualifications: A career as a Homecare Worker can be extremely rewarding. You do not need formal care experience; as long as you are a genuinely caring person who puts the client's needs first, you may be the right fit for us. A good Homecare Worker will develop a sound understanding of care principles and excellent communication skills. You will need to be even-tempered, patient, and able to cope under pressure and with change. Importantly, you should display empathy and warmth and build relationships with your clients and those around them. We are committed to our Homecare Workers and treat colleagues fairly and with respect. We offer pay rates above the industry average, as well as paid travel time. As a valued employee, you will receive paid leave (up to 28 days per year), be enrolled in the company pension scheme, and receive a free uniform and protective equipment, including gloves, aprons, and hand gel. We emphasize your personal and career development, encouraging you to pursue additional professional qualifications alongside your mandatory training. With proper training, you will feel confident in your job, provide great care, and potentially increase your salary as you gain further qualifications and experience. As a family-run business, we believe every staff member deserves to be listened to and supported, so you can be the very best you can be. We have a friendly and experienced office team to support our care staff. The Interview Process: Applicants meeting the above criteria will be invited to schedule a short telephone interview during which we will answer any questions you may have regarding both the role and working for Day to Day Care Ltd. Successful candidates will then be invited to schedule a face-to-face interview with us, allowing us to assess your suitability for the role. We will also be pleased to answer any further questions you may have. DBS Certificates: If you do not have a current DBS certificate, we can arrange this for you. A DBS certificate costs £65. You will need to meet the cost initially, and we will reimburse you once you complete three months of employment. Working Hours: Monday to Friday 4 pm to 9 pm and Alternate Weekends Employment Type: Full-time, Part-time Beginning of Employment: Immediate Duration of Employment: Ongoing Job Location: High Street, Orpington, Kent, BR6 0NQ, UK
