Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team in providing exceptional care to seniors in a 16 bed care home setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for enhancing the quality of life for our residents. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in implementing care plans and ensuring the well-being of those under your supervision.
Duties
Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Supervise and support junior staff members, fostering a collaborative environment.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Maintain accurate records of resident care and progress.
Drive residents to appointments or activities as required.
Participate in training sessions and ongoing professional development to enhance caregiving skills.
Qualifications
Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising staff.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Familiarity with IT systems for documenting care plans and resident information is advantageous.
A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within the care home environment.
