The Opportunity : My client is currently seeking an experienced Senior Category Manager to join their procurement team. In this role, you will work closely with executives and senior leadership to design and execute business-wide procurement strategies. You will oversee categories such as corporate services and indirect products and services, with a particular focus on consulting, professional services, workforce management / contingent labour, and marketing. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end category strategies, delivering measurable outcomes, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. You will collaborate with key stakeholders across the organisation, drive procurement initiatives, and manage direct reports to ensure the success of your category portfolio. This role also offers the chance to influence and shape the strategic direction of wider procurement activities across the business. Skills and Experience Required : Significant experience in end-to-end category management with key experience / knowledge in indirect categories covering corporate services, workforce management / contingent labour, and marketing. Proven ability to proactively take ownership and lead categories through long-term strategic category planning and implementation. Experience building and negotiating commercial models, performance regimes, and risk management. Excellent stakeholder management and supplier management skills. In-depth knowledge of marketing, consulting, professional services, and workforce management commercial models. Experience in leading teams, driving alignment with business goals, and managing procurement due diligence.
