About Us: Hi there! We’re Wild. We’re on a mission to remove single-use plastic from the bathroom, armed with our refillable, natural, and scent-sational deodorants, body wash, haircare, and lip balm – and we’re only just getting started. We launched in 2020 and as a high-growth company, we’re already one of Europe’s fastest growing start-ups. So, fancy coming along for the ride? The Role: We're looking to hire a Category Manager to join our global retail team. In this role, you will be responsible for fully leading and developing Wild’s Category Strategy across our product portfolio. This role will focus on driving retailer category growth while setting Wild up to disproportionately win through consumer insight, SBD principles, data analytics, and retailer partnership. You will work to increase our visibility in-store, through increased presence and availability, establishing Wild as the Refillable Personal Care Brand. The position is ideal for someone looking to build out a category function who uses data-driven insights to deliver tangible, sustainable growth in-store. Reporting to the global head of retail, you will have autonomy to shape the role and function, supporting the retail growth across the globe. What you will do: Retailer Partnership:

Build strong, independent relationships with key stakeholders, including buyers, merchandisers, and category planners, to establish yourself as a trusted partner. Become the primary point of contact for recommendations within our categories. Category Expertise:

Develop excellent knowledge of the category, performance, drivers, drainers, key players, and future growth trajectories. Deliver category updates to the wider business, upskilling the team and sharing implications on our business. Shopper Based Design:

Lead in-store recommendations across different markets. Using data and insights, establish key recommendations for Wild's in-store presence; layout, space, location, variants, POS. Track progress in key retailers against these in-store sales fundamentals to ensure progression. Leading Consumer Insight:

Lead consumer testing, hypotheses, and concept development. Research and gain clarity on different shopper groups, including lapsed users, non-buyers, and loyal customers. Identify key purchase barriers and share insights and recommendations with key functions such as retail, product development, creative, and brand teams. Data Analytics:

Support the retail team with key insights that underpin pitch decks, with a view of category growth and the unique role we can play. Identify and flag risks and opportunities. Share key learnings across the total team to re-apply to other markets. Build out Wild’s Category Management Function:

Make key decisions on our data investment and future growth of the team. Key Shopper Metrics:

Define and track essential metrics to create a business ‘health check’ (e.g., penetration rates, refill repeat rates, incrementality, and user numbers) to keep the business aligned. Lead Range Reviews:

Ensure we have strategic plans in place to excel in all range reviews, focusing on distribution and shelf space. What we need from you: Please note that we welcome applications from candidates who may not hit every single bullet point on the lists below - if you’re passionate about our mission and feel you have relevant skills and experiences to add value to this role, please submit an application! Minimum of 4 years experience in retail. Previous experience leading category management function. Proven track record in leading range reviews and working with major retailers (e.g. Boots, Sainsburys, Tesco). Strong data analysis skills, working with complex EPOS data and drawing insights. Preferred: Knowledge and experience working in other markets. Passion for sustainability and knowledge of eco-friendly products. What you’ll get from us: 25 days holidays + bank holidays + 9 extra remote working days. Hybrid working, 3 days a week in our shiny new London office. 4% Company Pension. Mental wellbeing support through Spill. Private healthcare through Vitality. Weekly early finishes and social events. Annual L&D budget. Free breakfast. Free & discounted Wild products. 2 x team volunteering days and 2 x personal volunteering days. A role at a young but well-established brand making a considerable splash in sustainable self-care. Ready to become a Wild thing?! At Wild, we know that diversity drives innovation and creativity. We are committed to creating and maintaining a workplace where all employees feel valued and empowered to bring their most authentic selves to work. We recognise that diversity goes beyond visible differences such as race, gender, age, and ethnicity, and encompasses a broad spectrum of backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and abilities. We encourage individuals from all backgrounds to apply!
