Calibre Search are working with an Independent Multi-Discipline consultancy who are looking to bring in an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join their established team based in their Hull office but are also happy to consider the right person across Leeds or York too.

They're happy to consider those with a few years post-degree as well as a Principal Designer pushing towards Associate level and the package will certainly be competitive and reflective on your skill level.

You will be leading on all health and safety and CDM matters of all their high-profile projects which includes sectors involving high-end retail, local authority, residential and education building schemes across the North East region.

Fantastic position for anyone looking to become an integral member of this small but growing team and be given a clear plan to aim towards becoming a strategic leader in the Health & Safety department of this Practice.

Duties: Provide support and advice to multi-disciplinary design teams and clients during the design and pre-construction stages of a wide range of projects to ensure their compliance with their statutory duties under CDM 2015. Be involved in defining the standards of the Principal Designer processes and procedures. Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 for projects from inception to completion. Undertake CDM reviews, audits, and give CDM advice. Review contract terms and conditions, scopes of service, and responsibility matrices for projects. Collaborate with the Directors to coordinate health, safety, and CDM knowledge. You will prepare, or assist in the preparation of the pre-Construction Information for issue to the project team and make comments on receipt of the Contractor's Health and Safety Plan. To discuss all my relevant roles in complete confidence please call Rob Hayton at Calibre Search. Calibre Search promotes equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their sex, race, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation, or age. We act as both an employment agency and employment business.
