We are looking for an experienced, calm and caring person to join a wonderful team that supports children with unresolved separation, loss that have experienced trauma and disruption in their lives as a Senior Therapeutic Care Worker.

What will you be doing as a Senior Therapeutic Care Worker?

You will lead a team of Care Workers within a home to care for children in a safe, nurturing and stimulating way to build friendships, safe boundaries, engage in play, education and interests, overall to provide a therapeutic safe environment where the children can thrive and be themselves.

You will do this by planning the shift ahead by working cooperatively with people inside and outside the organisation, you will coach and mentor colleagues with their day to day work and be the go-to person on shift.

You will also:

Actively participate in monthly summary writing.

Undertake some administrative tasks.

Positively engage with colleagues, managers, other professionals and family members.

Provide calm and therapeutic environments.

Plan and organise activities for play and recreation.

Support with difficult and challenging behaviour.

Participate in all aspects of the day to day life in a person’s home.

Support with medication administration.

Sleep in rate £45.

What are we looking for?

Someone with a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others.

A minimum of one year's experience in a similar role.

Availability to work weekends.

Able to do sleep-in duties (not waking nights).

Excellent levels of spoken and written English.

A full, clean driving licence.
