Job Description

We have a passion for improving the lives of young people, providing them with the best possible experiences while with us, and giving them the greatest opportunities to thrive when they leave the safety of our care. If you want to learn, grow and progress with a company that is committed to doing its best for children, young people and its staff, then please do apply now! Currently recruiting for our homes in Hadfield, Glossop and Tintwhistle My client is interested in talking to individuals looking for a move within the sector, as well as people considering a career change, even if you think you lack the necessary qualifications! We have a number of full-time roles available for Support Workers and Senior Support Workers to join our teams based in beautiful homes in an idyllic Peak District setting. In return we offer: Shifts – 8am – 5pm, 5pm – 11pm and Overnight (11-8).

Typically though you will do a 15 hr shift and a sleep, so 8-11/sleep, once or twice a week so essentially 3 work days and 4 off.

£11.75 – £12.70 per hour, depending on experience

£66 per sleep-in, typically 6-8 a month

Salary for full time is up to £31k

If the sleep is disturbed you will get paid for that on top of the sleep

A minimum of 28 days’ holiday

Fully-funded NVQs and apprenticeships

Company Pension

Employee perks and discounts

Health and wellbeing benefits

My client offers flexibility on shifts, as a full time member of the team you will be expected to work at least 3 full day sleeps a week, and 4 days off. However other shifts may be available:

Our long-standing, respected and high-quality residential care and education enables us to nurture, support and engage young people to help them to overcome disadvantage. Whether they’re with us for short-term, intensive crisis intervention work, or longer-term placements as they transition towards semi-independence, we help to change their lives. We transform the lives of staff too. You bring the right attitudes and instincts and show ambition, enthusiasm, resilience and empathy and we’ll provide a different career path. We train and mentor you, as you mentor the young people in your care, develop your technical skills and confidence and help you build a genuinely rewarding career; the likes of which other employers can’t match. And we try hard to make sure you maintain a healthy work/life balance.

If you are committed to providing the highest level of safety and support for young people, and want to learn, grow and progress in one of our already outstanding, growing teams; if you want to work for a company that is committed to doing its best, for children, young people and its staff; and if you want to work in one of our beautiful homes in an idyllic Peak District setting, then, in addition to your salary, we offer:
