Senior Civil Engineer Location: Essex (Travel required for site visits and client meetings) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience About the Role: We are recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our clients growing team of industry professionals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage the design, planning, and delivery of various civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have experience leading projects, managing client relationships, and delivering high-quality technical solutions within set budgets and timelines. Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership:

Lead civil engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and adherence to quality standards. Client Engagement:

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring long-term collaboration and optimal outcomes. Technical Delivery:

Conduct civil engineering surveys and report findings. Approve technical calculations and detailed designs using tools like AutoCAD, C3D, and InfoDrainage. Coordinate the production of technical documentation and drawings for planning, tender, and construction phases.

Team Management:

Support and mentor team members. Oversee internal and external design consultants as part of a cohesive project team. Deputise for Associates in their absence.

Construction Oversight:

Conduct site inspections to ensure health and safety compliance, project progress, and quality control. Chair and document external and internal project meetings.

Financial Management:

Manage fee projections for multiple projects and issue invoices in line with targets. Perform tender analysis and provide recommendations.

Compliance and Development:

Maintain accurate records using company systems (e.g., Deltek). Ensure compliance with CPD professional standards through training and development.

Key Skills and Requirements: Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering. Progressing towards corporate membership (Eng/CEng MICE preferred). Strong technical proficiency in AutoCAD, C3D, and InfoDrainage. Proven ability to manage complex projects and work collaboratively with clients and professionals.
