Senior Civil Engineer – Gold Coast Key Responsibilities: Over time, grow to lead and coordinate a local team of civil engineers, designers, and drafters to support our ongoing presence in South East Queensland. Produce and review high-quality technical documentation including models, calculations, drawings, and reports. Prepare tender and contract documentation for review as required. Apply sound project management principles and maintain project governance and commercial acumen in line with Westera Partners systems and procedures. Support and mentor junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused environment aligned with our high design standards and core values. Lead coordination of all relevant stakeholders, including internal staff and external parties such as clients, councils, and service authorities for approvals. Work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to effectively manage project delivery to agreed cost/quality/schedule. Help develop local business opportunities and strengthen client relationships. Embrace the opportunity to expand business and local client relationships to increase our service offerings within current and new markets. Contribute to projects in other geographies to support the broader civil portfolio as required. Help instill a culture of technical excellence and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our ISO-accredited Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems. What You’ll Bring: A minimum four-year bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, with CPEng, NER/RPEQ, or equivalent. Over 10 years of consultancy experience in land development and municipal infrastructure. Extensive knowledge of local design standards and water authority codes. 12D design and AutoCAD knowledge with the ability to delegate to specialist drafters and designers. Advanced civil engineering design software capabilities. Demonstrated project management expertise including construction surveillance and contract administration. Proven leadership experience, applying interpersonal skills to mentor and develop teams and foster a positive work environment. Experience managing the engineering design delivery process and working across multiple disciplines to consistently achieve successful project outcomes that align with core values and exceed client expectations. A track record of nurturing client relationships aligned to the Engineers Australia Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Professional Conduct, and Westera Core Values. Why Join Us?
