Due to our growing pipeline of interesting and challenging projects, we are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Northern Queensland team based in our well-established multidisciplinary Mackay Office. We will also consider candidates with Environmental or Mechanical Engineering degrees, as well as those looking to work from our Townsville or Cairns offices.

In this role you will have the opportunity to support and collaborate on a range of projects with other Technical Disciplines, including (but not limited to) Geotechnics, Transport Advisory, Planning and Approvals, Hydrology & Hydrogeology and Environmental Specialist Services, providing sustainable solutions for our national and international projects.

Responsibilities

Working on a wide range of projects at the technical advisory level, across the Infrastructure, Built Environment Sectors, Manufacturing & Industry, Mining and Resources, Power & Energy and Water Sectors.

Undertaking a range of technical tasks, including:

Lead Design and Documentation of Civil Infrastructure, with a focus on Water and Wastewater Infrastructure

Program and Schedule Development

Tender Management

Contractor Management and Supervision

Construction Management and Supervision

Investigative reporting and recommendations

Learning from a diverse range of technical experts

Building the confidence to challenge the norm with the objective of continuous improvement

Building autonomy as a leader in the business, developing independent internal and external client relationships and developing your own project portfolio.

Experience

Outside wanting to join a positive and friendly team, the right candidate should have:

6+ years’ experience with tertiary engineering qualifications in civil, environmental or mechanical engineering as well experience related to water and wastewater infrastructure.

RPEQ accreditation is highly desirable

Experience in the management and delivery of multi-disciplinary projects

Excellent written and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to build relationships

Competency in engineering design, including the development of design solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure across various industries including; local government, state government and private industry clients.

An excellent attitude and be capable of working within a dynamic environment

Have a clear understanding and articulation of your skills and awareness of the direction you want to take with career progression. In return, we will support you and also provide new opportunities to adapt and evolve as required.
