Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Civil & Structural (C&S) Engineer to join a leading Construction and Engineering company on a long term contract basis with it being Outside of Scope of IR35.

This will be within a multi-disciplinary team, leading the delivery of civil and structural analysis, calculations, reports, and specifications. The role will require effective communication of designs to BIM teams, collaboration with other disciplines and construction teams, and occasional attendance at site visits, design reviews, and client meetings. The ideal candidate will have the ability to support and guide junior team members and be confident in presenting to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and delivery of civil and structural analysis, including calculations, reports, and specifications. Effectively communicate designs to BIM teams for accurate and timely project delivery. Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and site visits as necessary. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers within the team. Present confidently and authoritatively to clients, ensuring their requirements are met and maintaining a strong professional relationship.

Required Skills and Experience:

Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in civil or structural engineering within the nuclear, oil & gas, or process industries. Demonstrated expertise in delivering complex civil and structural engineering projects. Strong ability to communicate technical designs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Experience in site visits and interfacing with construction teams and clients. Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities for junior team members.

Qualifications:

Minimum BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering. Chartership with ICE (Institution of Civil Engineers) or IStructE (Institution of Structural Engineers) preferred.
