This is a fixed term post designed to provide the experience and education necessary to allow Doctors to progress in Endoscopy. Main duties of the job The position of Senior Clinical Fellow in Endoscopy is designed to support the Endoscopy Service at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals with the opportunity to acquire further specialist endoscopy training and academic skills. The post-holder will also be supporting ward cover for the Gastroenterology Ward at Barnet Hospital. The post-holder will work alongside consultant gastroenterologists and GI surgeons and will be responsible to the Gastroenterology Lead. This is a 12-month fixed term post designed for supporting the Endoscopy Services. The post-holder would also be required to take part in audit, 2-3 Endoscopy lists weekly as well as Gastroenterology outpatient clinics. The post holder will be involved in new service developments such as Trans nasal endoscopy (TNE) and bowel cancer screening (BCSP).
