The applicant will be expected to contribute to the general running of the service but there is no commitment to routine ward cover and no on call requirement. Main duties of the job

To work closely within the Immunology team to deliver an integrated service to patients with PID and SID, including multi-disciplinary input from respiratory medicine, infectious diseases, haematology, gastroenterology, hepatology and dermatology. This will include participation in all of the Immunology Department's clinical activities, including outpatient clinics, day ward and providing advice to treating physicians and to patients.

Working for our organisation

The Department of Immunology provides a comprehensive, predominantly outpatient-based clinical service with a focus on primary immunodeficiency diseases (PID) and a growing provision for secondary immunodeficiencies. In addition, the Department provides multiple highly specialist outpatient clinics including chronic granulomatous disease, young adults, complement disorders and assessment plus follow up of haematopoietic stem cell transplant for PID patients. A number of joint clinics are held with respiratory, gastroenterology, hepatology and dermatology colleagues. With Great Ormond Street NHS Foundation Trust the Department forms the UCL Centre of Primary Immunodeficiency, linking clinical and research activities at Great Ormond Street and Royal Free Hospital.
