Junior doctors will perform duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances, agreed where practicable, with colleagues, both senior and junior. While juniors accept that they will assist, additional commitments arising are exceptional, and the junior will not be required to undertake such work for prolonged periods on a regular basis.
