Band 6 Senior Clinical Nurse Part-Time staff to cover Maternity Leave fixed term of 12 Months Neonatal Community Outreach An exciting opportunity has arisen within the University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Stoke University Hospital (RSUH) site in Stoke-on-Trent with the development of a Neonatal Community Outreach Team. The Neonatal Community Outreach Team is an integrated hospital – community team which will facilitate the early discharge of babies who have been resident within the Neonatal Unit, or the Transitional care unit, at RSUH/UHNM. Main duties of the job

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a state of the art Level 3 Unit (providing the highest levels of care) and is part of the West Midlands Neonatal Operational Network. The Unit is a modern, purpose built facility, providing the most up to date technology, enabling us to support the sickest of babies, including therapeutic cooling. The Neonatal Community Outreach Team provides care for babies with ongoing medical or nursing needs including home oxygen, establishing feeds, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome and home phototherapy. The Neonatal Community Outreach Team is part of the UHNM Maternity, Neonatal and Gynaecology Directorate. Qualifications

Registered Children’s Nurse on NMC Register Evidence of degree level study in health/nursing related studies Qualified in Specialty Skills and ability

ENB 998 – Mentorship Level 3 or equivalent or experience of teaching in clinical areas Driving license Experience

Minimum of 5 years post registration experience to include 1 year of management/leadership experience in the neonatal unit.
