The team is looking for an enthusiastic and reflective Senior Clinical Psychologist to work alongside the LIFT Team Manager and other specialists to lead the service, providing supervision, training, direct clinical work, and assessments. An understanding of child development and the ability to formulate considering multiple factors influencing behaviours is essential. You will contribute to service development including measuring outcomes and communicating findings to the wider team and LIFT steering group. Opportunities for professional development are encouraged. As part of the wider CAMHS Psychology network, you will have regular peer support, supervision, and contribute to the North Wales Clinical Psychology program.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will undertake a range of assessments with children, young people, and their families and deliver appropriate therapeutic interventions. They will promote psychological thinking and formulation within a multidisciplinary team and provide consultation to multi-agency professionals and families. Supervision of others, delivery of training, leadership, and service development will also form an integral part of this development role.
We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist who has relevant experience and can evidence their commitment to clinical quality, evidence-based practice, and maintaining high professional standards for themselves and others.
On commencing in post, the successful applicant will have a development plan (if appropriate) and agree on a target timescale of between 6 months and 2 years for completion, depending on current skills and experience. Regular clinical supervision will be provided by a Senior Clinical Psychologist. Promotion to a substantive 8a post will be achieved on fulfilling required competencies.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
