Senior Clinical Psychologist

·
Part time
An opportunity has arisen to recruit a motivated and committed individual to take a Senior Clinical Psychologist role within the South Lakes Community Mental Health Team (CMHT).

We would also welcome applications from newly qualified psychologists who would like to be considered as part of a fixed term Band 7 preceptorship.

The South Lakes CMHT provides assessment and intervention to individuals with complex mental health needs. The service works closely with service users, their families and other agencies and mental health services. An interest in working with individuals with complex presentations will be essential, as are skills in working within a multidisciplinary framework.

The post is focused on providing a balance of direct and indirect work, with time dedicated to providing individual assessment, formulation and short term intervention to service users. There is also an expectation that the role will encompass service development, training and consultation work with other professionals.

Main duties of the job

The post will sit as part of a team of psychologists working within The Bay Network, and the successful applicant will be welcomed as part of a service which encourages the development of specific interests. It is hoped that the applicant would be keen to undergo further clinical training to develop the therapeutic portfolio of the wider service, in line with their own preferred models.

If you would like to discuss this post, please do not hesitate to contact us on the details provided.
