The post will sit as part of a team of psychologists working within The Bay Network, and the successful applicant will be welcomed as part of a service which encourages the development of specific interests. It is hoped that the applicant would be keen to undergo further clinical training to develop the therapeutic portfolio of the wider service, in line with their own preferred models. Qualifications
HCPC Registered Doctoral level or equivalent training in clinical/counselling psychology, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology, as accredited by the BPS Knowledge
Knowledge of the theory and practice of specialised therapeutic intervention Knowledge of legislation in relation to the service user group and mental health; knowledge of safeguarding procedures Skills in the use of specialist methods of psychological assessment, formulation and intervention Experience
Experience of working with a wide variety of service user groups, including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse and the threat of physical abuse Experience and knowledge of issues relating to inclusivity and diversity Experience of supporting staff to deliver psychologically informed interventions, either other psychologists including trainees, or other mental health professionals Please ensure that you read the person specification attached below as your application will be measured against this document.
