Nouvita Healthcare is seeking a skilled
Consultant Psychiatrist
to lead our team at Baldock Manor, a 40-bed hospital in north Hertfordshire. As a senior clinician, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our psychiatric services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team, providing expert advice on psychiatric care, and overseeing the performance of Consultant Psychiatrists. You will work closely with external stakeholders, commissioners, and community teams to establish effective partnerships and drive service improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment services based on evidence-based practice • Provide expert advice on psychiatric care and take overall responsibility for a defined caseload of patients • Collaborate with clinical colleagues and managers to ensure safe, effective, and individualized care for every patient • Participate in quality enhancement and service evaluation projects, and contribute to research relevant to short- or long-term service improvement
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need: • At least five years' experience in an in-patient setting • Experience working in a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Acute Services • Approved Clinician status, Section 12(2) approved, and current GMC registration • Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and good CPD standing
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of £130,000 - £170,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including pension scheme, life assurance, and professional development opportunities.
