The Role As a Senior Commercial Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be working to support a range of contracts from design to through life support of critical systems and equipment to our customers whilst driving the business and contracts forward. Day-to-day, you’ll be managing existing contracts, undertaking negotiations, pricing activities, and dynamic contractual risk assessments along with supporting tender and organic growth activities at every level. Leading all contract management activities across all aspects of the life cycle (including bid, in life, and exit) in matrix organisations from across industry. Using significant relationship management to work at a senior level with our customers to identify and implement pragmatic commercial frameworks. Project management and prioritising deliverables to independently manage concurrent and multiple business change projects and day-to-day operations simultaneously. This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with working days in the office/onsite and working days working from home. Essential Experience of the Senior Commercial Manager Experience of managing and understanding contracts in matrix organisations from across industry. Commercially driven and can support commercial innovation with a good business awareness of customers and competitors. Understanding/experience in the creation of proposals whether as organic growth or for new opportunities. Experience of project management and prioritising deliverables to independently manage concurrent and multiple business change projects and day-to-day operations simultaneously. Qualifications for the Senior Commercial Manager Ideally be degree qualified (or equivalent) in Law or Accountancy but not essential. Functional qualifications achieved, or would be willing to work towards, may include International Association for Contract and Commercial Management (IACCM now WCC) or Post Graduate Certificate in Commercial Management (PGCCM). Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
