A role within the commercial function to support the Head of Commercial Pricing to ensure the retention of current business and the acquisition of new business through commercially sound and competitive pricing. You will be working collaboratively with the Bid team to develop winning submissions and identifying commercial opportunities and risks throughout the process. The Senior Commercial Manager will be actively seeking innovative pricing solutions, providing a commercial check and challenge to the solution design process and subcontractor quotations. The role will support the Head of Commercial Pricing in the implementation of standards, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible to produce commercially sound pricing solutions which reflect the RFP and Contract requirements, taking into consideration of identified risks and opportunities. Provides commercial pricing solutions on medium-sized opportunities and assist/support Head of Commercial Pricing on larger, complex bids. Presents analysis of pricing solution from subcontractor, closes any potential gaps and negotiates for the competitive price. Works collaboratively with the work winning team and other business functions in developing winning solutions. Good understanding of different commercial models and the ability to provide senior management and stakeholders with pricing analysis insight, modeling scenarios solutions, and options, leveraging commercial knowledge. Supports the requirement of maintaining detailed benchmarking data for internal and external use. Responsible for managing global benchmarking data to allow this to be used when benchmarking pricing on opportunities. Provides seamless knowledge transfer from bid to account teams and undertakes mentoring and support for further identification of risks and opportunities by the account management teams.

Regular reporting, escalation, and updates back to Central Functions. Flexible travel required. Ensure all documentation is maintained in accordance with our client's way.
PERSONAL BACKGROUND & INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Experience in commercial pricing and understanding different commercial models within the facilities management industry. Ability to construct/modify financial models to accommodate different needs. Digital competence, especially advanced Excel skills. Influencing and negotiation skills. An effective communicator with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Problem-solving and analytical skills.
The job holder would be at an advantage if they have:
Good understanding of FM-compliant standards like SFG 2.
EDUCATION & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
A higher national or degree-level qualification. Basic knowledge and skills on Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The job holder would be at an advantage if they have: Advanced Excel qualifications or experience (including Pivot tables, SUMIF functions, and VLOOKUPS). Knowledge and skills on Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, SharePoint. Experience of procurement systems/databases. Training in Contract Law. Member of a relevant professional institution. Multilingual. Hold a current, full driving license.
