Hours: Full Time - 40 hours - Monday to Friday Creating and maintaining great places to live and work delivered by excellent people who care… Purpose of Role This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned Commercial Manager to combine their expertise in Facilities Management (FM) and Construction within the Healthcare PFI sector. We are seeking a dynamic leader to manage the commercial team, ensuring profitability while fostering team growth, client engagement, and collaboration. This contract is in its last 5 years, and you will be particularly focused on the final stages of delivery. Job Description You will be experienced in delivering fit out projects that require tight deadlines, coordination and quality control. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all work, FM-related, is delivered within budget, on time, and in line with contractual obligations, all while fostering positive relationships with clients and partners. You will need to have a deep understanding and knowledge of PFI structures and the contractual mechanisms within PFI. Responsibilities PFI Commercial Accuracy Understanding Healthcare (highly desirable) Hard FM contract delivery model based on the budget and associated limitations with this. Ability to identify Risk and Opportunities in HARD FM Budget model delivery. Good understanding of construction/refurbishment delivery stages. Ability to identify changes to the Maintenance Agreement imposed by CAPEX installations. Budget Forecasting monitoring of opportunities and risks. Ability to convert Site risk register into commercial risk register – with option to mitigate financial impact. Creating annual forecast and quarterly model – lead internal discussion with category managers and the contract leads to achieve the best possible results. Ability to explain commercial impacts on the proposed or acted by operation team. Monthly commercial performance of the contract accuracy. Be responsible for the full commercial contract level reporting – in accurate and timely manners. Monitor action of the others leading to the month end closure. Ability to present the results at the high level if required. Leadership of the own team and communication. Lead the team by example and knowledge. Ability to coach and develop team to improve contract strength. Communicate with 3rd parties supporting contract delivery. Essential Qualifications/Skills Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying – Commercial Management, Facilities Management. Professional certifications such as RICS are highly desirable. Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial management, preferably within Healthcare PFI contracts and facilities management. Demonstrated experience in leading CAPEX lifecycle management, managing teams, and resolving high-stakes disputes in a client-centric manner. Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver profitable projects. Proficiency with data management systems and digital tools (e.g. CAFM) & strong with utilising excel to support project delivery.
