TML Recruitment have been retained by an industry-leading property consultancy to assist in their search for a Surveyor/Senior Surveyor to join their Commercial Valuation team in Birmingham. Our client is on a high recruitment drive all across the UK, with their Birmingham office being one of the main points of focus. This role in their Birmingham team covers all areas of general practice valuation for loan security, accounts, and general advisory purposes. Clients you will be working on behalf of include public sector bodies, local authorities, developers, banks, and other lending institutions, providing a true opportunity to work on 'big ticket' instructions.

Responsibilities:

Your role will be to carry out valuation instructions efficiently and with a high degree of independence within the context of the wider Valuation Team. This will include the preparation of concise and accurate valuation reports ready for Director review and sign off. Day to day, you will be expected to collaborate with valuation colleagues and to assume personal responsibility for valuation instructions. You will be encouraged to work smartly and efficiently in order to maximise profitability. To identify opportunities to grow the Birmingham Valuation business. Assist Graduate colleagues in their APC preparations.

What you need to be successful as the commercial valuation surveyor:

MRICS and ideally be a registered valuer. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office 365 software. Proficiency in valuation software ideally KEL and Argus Developer. To be well-organised and demonstrate good project management. Good data management. Flexibility and resilience in working arrangements. Excellent report writing. A good working knowledge of the RICS Red Book. A track record in preparing RICS Red Book Valuations for Commercial Lending (development, owner-occupied, and investment properties), corporate valuations, and consultancy advice.
