Reporting to the Manager, Recruitment Communications & Marketing and taking direction from the VP and Head of Trent Durham, the Senior Communications & Media Relations Officer for Trent Durham is a key member of the Communications and Enrolment team. This position is responsible for increasing the public profile of the Durham GTA campus through dedicated support for communications for Trent Durham. The role oversees the planning and development of internal and external communications and media relations supporting Trent’s reputation, brand, and overall strategic enrolment management goals of the University and the Durham GTA campus. In line with the institution’s positioning and branding, this position takes a lead role in dimensionalizing the Trent Durham story across all media platforms and in the digital realm. As a media and marketing/communications expert, the successful candidate will contribute media and social media expertise to all plans, meetings, and discussions, also overseeing various aspects of marketing materials, publications, presentations, and e-communications.
