To promote at all times a positive image of the Forensic Learning Disabilities Service and the wider Trust.

Main duties of the job

We work with those who are diagnosed with a Learning Disability with/without Autism diagnosis who pose a significant risk to others within the community. Additionally, we support individuals who are admitted to Secure Services and work with inpatient clinical teams to reduce length of stay. The team also works alongside secondary mental health and learning disability services, offering comprehensive risk assessment, shared care and CPA management responsibilities across the Tees, Esk and Wear Valley's NHS Foundation Trust area. Working within a multi-disciplinary team you will be responsible for promoting recovery-based principles, completing risk assessments, planning specialist interventions and leading nursing interventions.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop therapeutic interventions, training, and group-work. It will be essential for the successful candidate to work across a variety of community and inpatient settings. Trust lease car scheme is available.

Opportunities for training and personal development will be available. Participation in on-call would be a requirement of this post for registered nurses.

The service provides secure care and treatment to both females and males with highly complex clinical presentations, in both medium and low secure settings.

Essential

Current professional registration with Nursing & Midwifery Council - RNMH or RNLD (RNSC - CAMHS only) - RGN (If appropriate) Evidence of Continuing Professional Development Recognised Practice Supervisor and/or Practice Assessor, clinical educator or equivalent. Must be achieved within 6 months Trained in Clinical Supervision and providing clinical supervision OR willingness to work towards within 6 months

Experience
