An opportunity has arisen for a permanent band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to join the CMHT, a mental health community service in Wolverhampton. Band 6 Salary:

£35,392 - £42,618 per annum The Complex Care Service is based at Steps to Health in Wolverhampton. We are a community-based service and offer treatment and support for individuals with severe and enduring mental health difficulties, typically care clusters 8, 11-17. These individuals are likely experiencing mental health difficulties such as psychosis, bipolar disorder, depression, and personality disorder. Main Duties of the Job

We are looking for a highly motivated RMN to join a supportive and recovery-focused service, working with patients experiencing severe and enduring mental ill health. We welcome newly registered nurses to join our developing Community Preceptorship programme within our Community Mental Health Team, for which they will receive a robust and comprehensive support package. The successful candidate will be familiar with the clustering framework and will have a working knowledge of the CPA process. You will have proven assessment and risk assessment skills and possess a genuine interest in working with this client group. Candidates will be committed to a recovery-focused way of working, inherent within the team culture, empowering and instilling hope in our service users. Awareness of DoH guidance on issues relating to mental health. Understanding the organisational framework in which the service operates. Awareness of Care Clustering Process. Understanding of Recovery concept. Skills/Experience: Working in a multi-disciplinary team. Experience of working with a multi-racial client group in a multi-racial setting. Knowledge of treatment and support options for this client group. Ability to prioritise workload. Ability to manage and deal effectively with crisis. Competent with IT. Enthusiasm for working with people in their own homes. Interest/Motivation to the Job: Recovery focused. Commitment / Genuine interest in the client group within the area of specialty. Ability to work autonomously. Knowledge of relevant research. Person Specification
