An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Registered Nurse, Allied Health Professional or Social Worker with excellent clinical/client skills to apply for the role of Adult Mental Health Senior Complex Care Delivery Manager. The post will work across Brent, Harrow and Hillingdon and will have senior oversight of adult mental health placements. Main responsibilities
Take a proactive role in placement reviews, including undertaking joint assessments with care managers and problem-solving issues preventing discharge. Attend clinically ready-for-discharge meetings, professional meetings, and oversight meetings with private providers. Facilitate the placement process, familiarising themselves with providers to ensure cost-effective provision is achieved. Support full assurance on safeguarding responsibilities and work collaboratively with the local Mental Health Provider Trust in formulating the least restrictive care pathway for s117 patients. Provide supervision and advice to adult mental health complex care delivery managers. Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate should have several years of post-qualifying experience, ideally including working at the interface between the NHS and Local Authorities. They should also possess the ability to work in a commercial environment with private and independent sector providers. The ability to troubleshoot issues and break down barriers to discharge is key. The post requires personal resilience and a focused commitment to progressing time-critical actions. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to synthesise complex information sensitively and accurately. The person will need to have significant experience of working with people who have very complex needs and communication skills and be able to liaise confidently with a range of stakeholders, attending clinically ready for discharge meetings, case conferences, and ward rounds for the most complex clients. Qualifications
Educated to master's level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in a specialist area. Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through postgraduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master’s level equivalent. Evidence of post-qualifying and continuing professional development. Must have an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy in London and appreciate the implications of this on engagement. Should have an appreciation of the relationship between NHS England and individual provider and commissioning organisations. Member of relevant professional Body.
