At OVO, we’re on a mission to tackle one of humanity’s greatest challenges: the climate crisis. By powering homes with clean, affordable energy, we’re driving progress toward net zero carbon living. We believe the future is sustainable, and that together we can make a positive difference for our customers, our communities, and our planet. Our team is united by Plan Zero, our strategy to achieve a net zero carbon future. From shaping sustainable policies to transforming how energy is delivered, everything we do works towards this goal. Join us, and you’ll play an essential part in delivering meaningful change—for the planet and its people. Why Join Us? In the words of the team:

“Much like OVO itself, we believe things can be done differently—and better. We’re not here to simply tick boxes or step in when something goes wrong. This is your opportunity to lead a strategically important function, drive positive change, and make a real impact for our customers.” About the Role As Senior Compliance Manager, you’ll leverage your expertise in regulatory obligations to ensure OVO adheres to standards while leading the industry in sustainable practices. You’ll manage our compliance framework, build constructive relationships with regulatory bodies, and guide the retail business through the complexities of compliance obligations and risks. This pivotal role supports OVO’s mission by aligning compliance efforts with our environmental and corporate objectives. Your Key Outcomes: Lead and develop OVO’s second-line compliance function to ensure a thorough understanding of regulatory obligations and risks across the retail business. Oversee the compliance advisory process, ensuring consistent and effective regulatory guidance for the business. Manage compliance incidents, driving customer-focused remedies and engaging constructively with the regulator. Build and maintain positive relationships with Ofgem and other stakeholders to enhance OVO’s regulatory position and reputation. Implement and develop compliance systems, including procedures and training programs to ensure employees are well-versed in regulatory standards. Manage and develop a high-performing team of compliance professionals, equipping them to meet strategic goals. About You You’ll be successful in this role if you: Are a seasoned compliance professional with in-depth knowledge of supplier license conditions and their strategic intent. Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret and clearly explain complex regulatory issues to diverse stakeholders. Demonstrate strong leadership and team management abilities, motivating your team to navigate a complex regulatory landscape. Have a strategic mindset, aligning compliance practices with broader corporate goals. Excel at building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Show resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Uphold a strong ethical foundation, promoting transparency and integrity within business practices. Ready to Apply? If this role excites you, we’d love to hear from you. Don’t worry if you don’t meet every single requirement—if you have most of the skills we’re looking for, we encourage you to apply. Please send contact Joshua@ellwoodatfield.com for more information and apply via LinkedIn.
