Job Description It's an exciting time to join our Risk and Compliance team, with focus on bringing our conduct and compliance across AXA UK closer together, we're recruiting a Senior Compliance Manager to provide technical leadership in the provision of expert regulatory compliance advice. As Senior Compliance Manager, you'll facilitate the sharing of best practice and knowledge within the Compliance team. Supporting the Head of Compliance Partnering in defining the strategy and direction of compliance activities across AXA UK. You'll influence business culture and direction by providing regulatory insights, advice and challenge. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home at our Tunbridge Wells office, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you'll be doing:

Support Compliance leadership in defining the strategy and direction of Compliance activities across AXA UK. Influencing business culture and direction by providing insights where the levels of exposure are unacceptable. Oversight of product and pricing from a compliance perspective. Embed compliance and regulatory standards, policies and procedures across our Health businesses. Attend relevant AXA Health committees and support the reporting of compliance and regulatory matters to them. Provide challenge and advice in respect of key regulatory risks, issues and areas of exposure. Advise and support our first line in relation to governance and regulation, enabling them to understand and meet their regulatory obligations, working with Conduct Risk colleagues to provide support and challenge to key AXA Health projects. Support the Head of Compliance Partnering in AXA's relationship with the PRA and FCA, ensuring timely and quality responses are provided to the regulators and expectations are consistently met. Participate in key industry forums and lobbying activity ensuring the AXA UK Group's interests are protected and aligned. What you'll bring:

Business knowledge in General Insurance and Financial Services. Strong experience of regulatory compliance, with experience of legal and/or risk management preferable. Extensive experience in a Senior Compliance role. Superior knowledge of FCA rules, guidance and practices, in particular oversight of product and pricing. Experience of participation in FCA supervision activities. Demonstrated ability to lead developments and find innovative solutions. Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Strong ability to work to defined standards, practices and timescales. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom. Please be aware that this position is a Certified Function role under the SM&CR regime, which means the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced level of background screening requirements.
