Our client is an international bank, with offices based in the City. THE RESPONSIBILITIES: Ongoing business-wide oversight, advice and support concerning FCA and PRA regulations Delivery of key regulatory initiatives Collation and delivery of compliance reporting at various levels within the company To provide insightful recommendations and reporting that embed best practice across 1LoD Partner with the Policy, Governance and Regulatory Relations Manager and the Compliance Control Manager in support of the objectives specifically given by the CEO to the Compliance function Keep abreast of the regulatory landscape through Horizon Scanning in relation to the CMP. Assist the Deputy Head of Compliance in reviewing and optimizing a risk-based compliance monitoring programme, ensuring appropriate coverage of all relevant compliance risks. Ensure rigorous risks assessments are performed on a real time basis to respond to changing market and business conditions. Delivery of the compliance risk assessment methodology to create periodic compliance risk assessment heat maps Identification of actual and potential compliance risks or breaches that could crystallise across the Bank. To support the compliance risk assessment that will provide insight into the inherent and residual level of compliance risk managed by the organisations Provide oversight and support on behalf of the Compliance Team in relation to the undertaking of compliance monitoring reviews (including periodic and thematic reviews) to obtain assurance as to the Bank’s adherence to regulatory requirements in accordance with the agreed Compliance Monitoring Plan and following the Bank’s Compliance Monitoring Methodology. This includes ensuring regulatory compliance and delivery of good customer outcomes or areas of foreseeable customer harm are identified and clearly reported. To be responsible for the execution of the Compliance Monitoring Program (CMP) on behalf of Compliance in support of the First Line of Defence (1LoD), the executive management population and governed committees Draft and finalise detailed compliance monitoring reports with findings, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations. Track and ensure the resolution of issues identified during reviews. Delivery of assurance and monitoring activities throughout the year. Liaise with internal stakeholders to address compliance queries and findings. Provide clear and actionable feedback to business units during and after compliance reviews. Assist in preparing Compliance packs and management information for relevant Boards Liaise and follow up with the business on the Bank’s regulatory reporting obligations where necessary Analyse trends from monitoring activities to identify systemic compliance risks. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Banking background preferred Requirements including strong knowledge of the FCA Handbook and PRA Rule book and associated sourcebooks, including: CONC, SYSC, SMCR, The Consumer Duty, Vulnerable customers, Financial Promotions Past experience of compliance monitoring, including reporting.
