How you will create an impact Strong technical expertise in Economic Sanctions and Financial Crime. Monitor financial crime and sanctions developments, and their application to the business, ensuring that such developments are translated into changes to processes as required. Understand and articulate how to practically apply relevant legislation and regulations, in relation to Financial Crime. Build out and maintain Financial Crime control frameworks and support regular risk assessments. Support the upskilling and cross-skilling of other team members across Financial Crime. Act as a key point of contact for Talbot with AIG’s Financial Crime Group, building strong stakeholder relationships. Take a proactive approach to compliance risk monitoring and management across our business and to identify, assess, monitor and report on the compliance risk exposures and relevant controls. Work as part of the Compliance team on wider compliance advisory and assurance matters relating to Talbot Underwriting Ltd and related group entities, and assist the CCO in the successful delivery of the Annual Compliance Plan. Work on periodic and ad hoc reporting for regulators. Integrate into projects to provide value add advisory and compliance assurance services. Report to, and participate as appropriate in, internal committees and working groups. Provide Compliance training to existing staff and new joiners where appropriate. What you’ll need to succeed Significant expertise in Financial Crime and Sanctions. Good communication and stakeholder management skills. Openness and ability to share areas of expertise with other team members. Good organisational skills. Attention to detail. Insurance experience or a law background advantageous.
