The role of Senior Construction Health & Safety Advisor is a key role within our business, and it is at the core of our Principal Designer and CDM Advisor service delivery to our clients.
As a Senior Construction Health & Safety Advisor based at our multi-disciplinary consultancy office in Hebburn, Gateshead, you will assist our dedicated CDM Team in providing Principal Designer / CDM Advisor Services on a wide variety of construction projects. You will have experience in construction-based health and safety and be able to demonstrate competency to deliver a Principal Designer / CDM Advisor Role to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the Principal Designer dutyholder requirements of the CDM 2015 Regulations. Working as part of a small growing team you will be involved in contracts that cover a range of construction projects from simple refurbishment schemes to multi-million pound commercial projects, working predominately in the North of England.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Requirements
Degree level qualification in a surveying or health and safety discipline
Hold at least GRAD IOSH / Level 6 NVQ
CMIOSH or working towards membership
Working towards Certified Member of the APS
Minimum 5 years experience undertaking a similar role
Good sound knowledge of construction and design processes
Good knowledge of the CDM 2015 Regulations
Good knowledge of design risk management
Ability to integrate into the design team and communicate effectively
Track record of working as a Principal Designer / CDM Advisor under CDM 2015
Knowledge of and ability to develop health and safety management systems
Be able to demonstrate initiative and entrepreneurial skills to resolve problems / issues in order to ensure that required outcomes are met
Construction project management knowledge and application.
A working knowledge of Regulations and Legislation, British Standards, Codes of Practices, Health and Safety and other regulations relating to construction.
Analytical skills to research, review, summarise and prepare reports
IT literate with strong MS Office skills
Sound understanding of the fundamental nature of Health and Safety
