Job Overview:

The Senior Construction Support Engineer is responsible for the following: Work as part of the home office construction team to support FEEDs and proposals, ensure technical deliverables, estimates, and construction input. Supports project execution for ongoing projects. Supporting Construction Management in the home office and on site. Shall apply functional and technical knowledge and skills to perform at a high level in role understanding the market.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

Minimum of 7 years in the office and Site Construction Function

Engineering degree in an engineering discipline

Experience in the setup, administration and execution of AWP philosophy and associated software is desired

Competent in MS suite software, AutoCAD and Navisworks

Ability to develop, read and interpret Construction Drawings and specifications

Has the ability to work as part of a construction team or as the sole construction representative on a project

Experience in energy transition or large scale projects

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Work with Proposal Teams to develop cost estimates and proposal documents for project bids

Work as part of FEED teams to develop construction execution philosophy, with input into engineering and procurement plans

Develop detailed cost estimates for various phases of projects for input into estimating teams

Review project deliverables by other disciplines or subcontractors

Develop and update corporate procedures and processes for construction function

Set up of AWP in early phases of projects or proposals and coordination with other disciplines

Perform constructability reviews and provide inputs into engineering for FEED, proposals, and execution

Support home office construction teams on active projects as required

Report to senior management on project progress

Be office-based with potential for remote site work if agreed by all parties

Understand HSE requirements and incorporate them into execution planning

Understand quality requirements and incorporate them into execution planning

Develop subcontract packages for construction execution and review subcontractor proposals

Review equipment requirements for projects and plan optimum utilization including big ticket items such as cranes

Review work processes & procedures and identify optimizations and improvements
