Within our Capital Design and Delivery department, we are looking for a Senior Consultant Manager to join our Waste Infrastructure Design team based in Shelton and Coventry. EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW The Senior Project Manager role is responsible for the management of wastewater network projects including sewage pumping schemes, shaft tank storage with CSO and ancillary works, wastewater transfer schemes and new public sewers designed by external consultants. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for coordinating the input to write the Outline and Detail Design Service Orders and then delivering the design in accordance with the Service Order clauses to meet time, cost, and quality. Throughout the project you will be meeting regularly with the design consultants, the internal project teams, and other stakeholders to enable the design to be completed in accordance with regulations and standards and to monitor and track performance for regular progress reporting and timely mitigative action. You will be responsible for managing activities to support planning applications and influence design when engaging Contractors early. As part of the wider duties of a Severn Trent employee, you will be compliant with Operational, Health and Safety, and administrative requirements. You will help us to generate the best overall solutions to the challenges of tomorrow's environmental needs and consumer expectations. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE You'll ideally be experienced in the water industry, engineering design, design management with construction experience. Ideally, you should be degree qualified in a technical engineering discipline or a qualified Project Manager holding relevant Project Management qualifications. You will have managed projects under the NEC suite of contracts using a structured approach to achieve compliance with the specific terms and conditions outlined in the contracts, with a proven track record of successful project delivery and demonstrating strategic thinking and the ability to coordinate and collaborate among stakeholders. You will have a strong ability to build successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders from a diverse range of backgrounds, and hold a relentless drive for continuous improvement, with the ability to implement and communicate improvements, implement governance, innovate and anticipate unexpected issues and challenges as they arise. You’ll ideally be experienced in writing, managing, and delivering Service Orders. Good communication skills are essential. The right skills and experience are important.
