Water Utilities Consulting We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst and Process Consultant with in-depth knowledge of the water domain and expertise in water network management. This role is pivotal in driving operational efficiency, optimizing water networks and delivering transformative solutions to stakeholders in the water utilities sector. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities: Business Analysis:

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document business requirements focusing on water network operations, maintenance, and optimization. Conduct detailed process analysis to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in water network management. Develop use cases, process flows, and business models to support decision-making. Water Domain Expertise

Provide insights into water distribution, treatment processes, leak management, and demand forecasting. Offer technical knowledge on water network operations including hydraulic modeling, SCADA integration, and real-time monitoring. Stay updated on advancements in water technology and best practices to propose innovative solutions. Process Consulting

Design, implement, and optimize business processes related to water network management and water utility operations. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for water network efficiency and resilience. Lead workshops to train and guide teams on new processes and technologies. Solution Design and Implementation

Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate, select, and implement water network management solutions. Provide functional expertise during system implementation, integration, and testing phases. Ensure alignment of solutions with business goals, regulatory standards, and sustainability targets. Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as the primary point of contact for business units, technical teams, and external partners on water domain projects. Present findings, project updates, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders. Data-Driven Insights

Leverage water network data to provide actionable insights on performance, cost optimization, and risk management. Support the integration of IoT, GIS, and advanced analytics tools into water network operations. Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management

Ensure processes and systems comply with water utility regulations and standards. Identify and mitigate risks in water operations, including those related to resource scarcity and infrastructure challenges. Experience

Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Process Consultant in the water utilities sector. Strong knowledge of water network management, including planning, design, and optimization. Familiarity with water network modeling tools and asset management systems. Skills and Competencies Technical Expertise

Understanding of hydraulic principles, SCADA systems, and telemetry in water networks. Proficiency in GIS tools and water asset management software. Analytical and Process Skills

Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex water networks and propose improvements. Expertise in process mapping, workflow design, and business case development. Communication and Collaboration

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Regulatory Knowledge Familiarity with global water regulations such as those from the EPA, OFWAT, or local governing bodies. Preferred Qualifications

Certifications in business analysis (e.g. CBAP) or project management (e.g. PMP). Experience with digital water technologies (e.g. smart meters, AI-driven leak detection). Knowledge of water sustainability frameworks and climate resilience planning. Work Environment: Candidates should be comfortable working in both office and travel to client sites as necessary.
