As a member of the Control Room team, you will be responsible, during passenger service, for the operation of Subway train services in a safe, efficient, and effective manner in compliance with the Subway Rule Book and legislative requirements. Outwith passenger service, you will undertake the role of PICOP (Person in Charge of Possession) and be responsible for the control and management of possessions. You will provide flexible support to all areas of Subway Operations specifically to facilitate Controller training on new systems within the Operations Control Centre (OCC) for the subway modernisation project. About You
You will have an in-depth understanding of train operating principles as well as the Subway Rules, Regulations, and Emergency Procedures. Experience as a Service Delivery Officer (Driving) and/or (Stations) is desirable, as well as experience of working in a Control Room environment. The successful candidate will have Standard Grade Level (A-C or equivalent) in Arithmetic, Maths, and English. A transport industry and competence assessor qualification are desirable. You will be able to demonstrate high levels of flexibility, concentration, and vigilance together with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work within a safety-critical environment. A highly motivated, professional, reliable, and capable individual, you will be able to work under pressure while assessing operational situations and taking appropriate action. You will use your communication skills to work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure our services are delivered in a professional manner and deliver positive change. What we can offer
