We are currently supporting a client in seeking an experienced Senior Control Engineer to lead a team of Service Control Engineers. The successful candidate will manage the technical support and aftersales care for the client's products in the Offshore Energy sector, ensuring that clients' needs are met efficiently and professionally. Key Responsibilities:

Lead and develop a small team of Control Engineers. Provide technical support, investigate, and resolve Control System-related issues across a range of products. Implement upgrades and updates to existing equipment. Ensure customers are supported and technical issues are resolved swiftly to maintain high levels of satisfaction. Efficiently manage and prioritise the workload of the engineering team. Deliver work to a high standard in line with software quality control procedures. Job Requirements:

Strong engineering background with in-depth knowledge of Control, Automation, and Safety Systems. Relevant qualifications (degree/HND) or comparable industrial experience. Experience in:

Design of control & automation systems Programming PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems Commissioning, testing, and client support for industrial control systems Full project lifecycle involvement from design to installation and documentation Management and development of a small engineering team Working in the marine, subsea, oil & gas, or renewables markets Recent experience in a similar bespoke engineering or service support role

Experience working to ISO9001 or similar standards in a project-based environment. Competence with IT systems and tools. Excellent customer service skills. Desirable Skills:

Experience with Siemens TIA Portal/Unified, Rockwell, or Mitsubishi platforms. Knowledge of configuring and commissioning Variable Speed Drives (Siemens, Nidec & ABB). Prior experience in the Marine/Offshore/Subsea industry. Familiarity with functional safety standards (IEC61508, IEC61511, IEC13849). Chartered Engineer status. Willingness to travel at short notice. The role involves a mix of working from the client's Port of Blyth facility and client sites or vessels worldwide.
