Skills, Education and Experience • Solicitor qualified in England and Wales • 6 - 8 years of private practice and/or in-house experience • Strong experience to independently negotiate complex contracts and transactions, with a preference to professionals who have experience with commercial contracts and corporate outsourcing (real estate, facilities management, IT or IP) or similar services • Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, problem-solving and drafting skills • Confidence to give advice to senior executives, and to escalate issues appropriately to supervisors and business decision makers • Ability to isolate complex legal issues and provide prompt, concise and commercially focused legal advice, while balancing risks and benefits to the Company • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and set priorities with excellent follow-up skills and organization • Willingness to work on tight timeframes, including occasionally accommodating different time zones • Ability to develop solid business relationships with clients, key vendors and landlords • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a cooperative effort with the overall Newmark legal team.
