GBP 60,000 - GBP 80,000 / year Description We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cosmos Core Developer to join our business as we continue to scale. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cosmos Core Developer to join our Ensemble team. This team is responsible for building a blockchain to fulfil the energy transition requirement within ENODA. As a key contributor, you will play a pivotal role in the development, maintenance, and optimization of our Cosmos-based blockchain platform. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing core components of the blockchain, including consensus mechanisms, smart contract execution, and interoperability protocols. You'll spend your time: Designing, developing, and maintaining critical components of the Cosmos SDK-based blockchain, including modules for staking, governance, and custom logic Optimizing the performance and scalability of the blockchain network Implementing robust security measures to protect the network from potential threats Designing and implementing token economic models, including inflation rates, staking rewards, and fee structures Developing governance mechanisms to enable community participation in decision-making processes Analysing and optimizing the network's economic parameters to ensure long-term sustainability Exploring and implementing interoperability solutions, such as IBC, to connect our blockchain to other chains within the Cosmos ecosystem Collaborating with other teams to facilitate seamless data exchange and asset transfer between chains Contributing to the development of real-world products and applications built on our blockchain platform Working closely with product managers and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions The key experience we're looking for: Proven experience in Go programming language Deep understanding of blockchain technology, distributed systems, and cryptography Solid grasp of the Cosmos SDK and its modular architecture Experience with cometBFT consensus mechanism Knowledge of token economics and game theory Experience in designing and implementing governance mechanisms Understanding of IBC protocol and its practical applications Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Proven track record of delivering successful blockchain projects Experience working with production-grade blockchain systems What we offer: Salary: GBP 60K - GBP 80K dependent on skills & experience Private Medical Insurance Flexible Pension policy tailored to your requirements 33 days annual leave + Holiday purchase/sell scheme Dental cash-back scheme Cycle-to-Work scheme Season travel ticket loan Enhanced company sick pay & Income Protection Life Assurance This role is based onsite at Quartermile in Edinburgh.
