Head of Creative & Marketing , develop and manage creative assets for the

portfolio (specifically Paddington but other IPs as appropriate) in line with the agreed creative & commercial strategy. Manage key partnerships across consumer products, marketing promotions, experiential or interactive, where additional creative guidance or asset development is required. (i.e. The Paddington Shop @ Paddington Station and the e-com store). Represent the Head of Creative & Marketing on creative issues as needed. Main Duties Creative Asset Development & Management Design, develop and deliver creative assets, for example, style guides, graphic toolkits, illustration, concept boards and inspiration (on time and within budget). Project manage a roster of creative agencies and freelancers – managing timelines, ensuring assignment of rights, contracts, POs etc. Provide creative guidance on the SCK&F brands (especially Paddington) and detailed creative feedback on character application (on both 2D & 3D character interpretations – physical & digital). Ad hoc creative guidance to the SCK&F team. Work with Snr Marketing Manager to apply visual guidance to marcomms assets. In conjunction with Snr Marketing Manager - Deliver BLE (and other trade show assets). Manage effective delivery of creative materials to the wider SCK&F (e.g. MyMediabox/DAM and StudioCloud) as well as partners. Managing Creative Partnerships & Product Development Build and manage relationships with key partners. Provide pro-active creative direction for partners – offering design inspiration, detailed constructive comments and guidance on proposed designs. Track and manage formal approvals on the SCK&F approval system (MyMediabox). Oversee creative execution of materials relating to the Paddington Store (and e-comm site) including (but not limited to): signage & display, marketing assets, photography etc. Oversee creative development of bespoke product ranges for the Paddington Store, working directly with suppliers to deliver unique designs. Development of ‘Pop-up’ stores and other retail activations as needed. Knowledge & Experience Good / Excellent demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the licensing industry. Experience of interactive, publishing, promotions or experiential an advantage. Excellent PC/MAC skills with expertise in Adobe Creative Suite. A relevant design qualification to degree level is preferred. Knowledge of Product Development software (e.g. MyMediabox) and Project Management tools (e.g. Asana) is useful. In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and limitations. Experience and knowledge of relevant markets (i.e. for brand / competitor awareness). Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a creative brand development or product development role within a consumer products environment. Skills & Personal Attributes The ability to work with people at all levels of seniority and the ability to manage conflict with diplomacy and tact. Prepared to get involved and hands-on. Well organised, with an ability to balance multiple projects and to prioritise projects and tasks effectively. An affinity for kids/family brands is an advantage. Should be results oriented. Meticulous attention to detail. Maintain a flexible and collegiate approach to work to support the changing nature and requirements of the organisation.
