Reporting into the Principal, Customer & Market Research, the Senior Customer Insight Researcher is part of the wider Risk & Research Proposition team. The Analyst helps deliver the key customer and market insights the various stakeholder teams need to drive growth. Key Responsibilities Undertake customer and market research covering end-to-end propositions design, from market analysis to supporting business and proposition leaders on business case development. Assist the C&MR team to represent the voice of the customer at senior leadership level to ensure that customer and market intelligence is at the heart of decision-making. Develop strong working relationships within the C&MR team and other functions at all levels across the business to deliver tailored and relevant insights. Deliver customer and market research projects, from actively participating in briefing sessions, to research design, execution, and reporting. Undertake ‘desk’ research thoroughly and ensure insights are appropriately synthesized. Liaise with external partners, such as research agencies, to ensure work/services delivered are world-class and deliver value for money. Support the Customer & Market Research team lead with workflow planning and budget management. Attributes & Experience Ability to learn quickly, solve problems creatively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies alongside their appropriate use. Experience of performing ‘desk’ research and obtaining relevant insights using publicly available information. Demonstrate flexibility in responding to changing business priorities and requirements. Proven track record of getting results in a matrix organization. Solid experience of customer and market research including project management and delivering credible insights. Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, with attention to detail. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong presentation skills, passion for storytelling, and the ability to make complex data easy to understand. Proficiency with Google’s suite products (Google Sheets, Google Slides). Experience in the market research industry, in-house or agency-side. Experience of conducting research and managing research teams in B2B markets, ideally within the media, news, information & data sectors.
