Purpose Statement: Here at Plexus, we have an incredibly exciting new role available for a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our global Cybersecurity and IT team and who will be responsible for helping to reduce overall cybersecurity risk through the application of cybersecurity controls, concepts, and best practices while collaborating with global teams to enable strategic business objectives and will be responsible for developing, maintaining, & optimizing the Cybersecurity teams’ technology stack. The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for ensuring our organization's compliance with a wide range of cybersecurity regulations. As a subject matter expert in UK regulatory cybersecurity requirements, the analyst will partner closely with various departments to identify and manage security risks, develop and implement security policies, and maintain a strong security posture. Key Job Accountabilities: Partner effectively and efficiently with global teams to enhance business processes, ensuring that required IT controls, compliance, and regulatory standards are met and support application, infrastructure and business needs. Act as liaison between audit teams; customers; and control owners during activities in support of assessing IT internal controls. Serve as a primary escalation point for other analysts during the course of advanced incident investigation and provide Incident Response (IR) support when analysis confirms actionable incident. Lead cybersecurity incident response efforts by monitoring security events, alerts, and reports for unusual or suspicious activity; interpreting activity, responding to incidents, and making recommendations for remediation or future mitigation. Leverage threat intelligence (to include Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT)) to identify and search for new malicious Indicators of Compromise (IOCs). Leverage security tool stack to implement new or enhanced threat detection logic, signatures, and/or IOCs. Provide threat and vulnerability analysis as well as periodic cybersecurity assessment to identify cybersecurity gaps. Configure cybersecurity tools & technology functions across multiple operating systems and hardware platforms. Partner with global teams to enable strategic business initiatives while aligning with secure by design best practices by conducting security reviews of new technology prior to deployment in production. Minimize customization and promote out-of-the-box or standards based solutions whenever possible. Responsible for both technical implementation of systems and communication of security requirements to various stakeholders. Maintain expert knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and emerging technology, including frameworks and regulations & current threat trends. Develop and implement appropriate security operations documentation, including runbooks, playbooks, and procedures. Skills & Experience required: Significant practical work experience of driving best practice Cybersecurity activities. This can be within the Armed forces or private sectors. In-depth knowledge of relevant UK government cybersecurity regulations and a strong understanding of control interpretation. Strong understanding of various cybersecurity frameworks and familiarity with Cybersecurity Essentials + framework and certification. Experience analyzing possible attack activities such as network probing/ scanning, DDOS, malicious code activity and possible abnormal activities, such as worms, Trojans, viruses, etc. Foundational knowledge of advanced cyber threats, threat vectors, attacker methodology to include, tools, tactics, and procedures and how they tie into the Cyber Kill Chain or ATT&CK framework. Experience configuring or running SOAR or automation tooling. Intermediate knowledge in system security architecture and security solutions. In depth- hands on experience with technical security solutions. CISSP, GIAC, CIMP, CEH, Security+ not required, but is preferred. Why you will love it?
