A key client of mine in the payments space is growing their Data team and is now looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join them.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and support and host discussions within a cross-functional team. Ensure data management and governance processes are in place and adhered to for the products and services we provide, and define strategies to enable continual improvement of data management practices and compliance with data governance policies. Identify appropriate ways to collect, collate and prepare data, decide if data is accurate and fit for purpose, and prepare and cleanse data with limited guidance. Ensure data for analysis meets data quality standards and is interoperable with other data sets, enabling reuse. Build and review complex data models, ensuring adherence to standards. Respond to problems in databases, data processes, data products and services as they occur and initiate actions, monitor services and identify trends to resolve problems and roll out preventative measures. Utilise data integration tools and languages to integrate and store data, and advise teams on best practice. Demonstrate skill in a number of data visualisation tools and techniques. Be an advocate for data, share knowledge and support the wider business with adopting data-led decision making. Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Open to joining a team undertaking an architectural transformation, able to make trade-offs between tactical near-term and longer term solutions. COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE :

At least 4 years of experience in a data analyst role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills. A collaborative approach to working with others and committed to an inclusive environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with SQL, Excel, and/or Python. Experience with AWS data related solutions Redshift, Athena, Glue, S3. Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Amazon Quicksight, Tableau. Experience with Apache Kafka desirable. Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field preferred. This role requires 3 days on-site in London. There is a 2 -3 stage interview process with interview slots available. Apply to be considered.
