Description

As the Financial Services team for USwitch, Confused and money.co.uk, our goal is to be the UK’s favourite way to choose the best financial products for big life events - from Credit Cards to use on while travelling to Savings Accounts to help move you closer to a dream purchase. As we continue to grow and expand our services, we are looking for talented individuals who share our passion for making a positive impact on people's lives. If you want to be part of a team that is transforming the way consumers navigate their finances, we would love to hear from you. As a Senior Analyst at RVU, your input will be crucial in driving business impact and decision-making by bridging the gap between data and business strategy. In this role, we are looking for an analytical thought leader who will be responsible for collaborating across cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective data strategy within your business area. As our 3rd member of the FS Analytics team, you will play a pivotal role in crafting ultimate experiences for money.co.uk, Uswitch and Confused.com users, enabling them to make better financial decisions.

What you'll be doing:

You’ll be using tools and databases including BigQuery, Tableau, DBT, Python and Hightouch to tackle important problems that we’re only just starting to understand. You will be: Working closely with the Product teams delivering insights that are not only accessible but actionable, supporting strategic decision-making. Collaborating with cross functional project teams to understand business requirements and translate them into lower level data requirements. Working with the engineering team to build and refine dbt models to transform the data in a desired form suitable for analysis and reporting; as well as to strengthen data management and quality processes across data collection, cleaning, transformation and reporting. Supporting the development of data related procedures and guidelines to be at the forefront of best practice. Liaising with external partners to facilitate and execute third party data integrations. Creating interactive dashboards and reports to present analytical findings in a clear and concise manner to senior management. Translating complex data analyses into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring insights lead to informed decisions. Some questions you might work on: What events are critical to track to understand performance of our online customer journey? How can we use what we know about our customers to tailor and personalise their experience? What impact does a change in customer journey experience have on conversion? What is our customer lifetime value? How can we enable our marketing channels to effectively target the right audience? Here’s a flavour of what our analysts have been up to recently: Developed an in-house model to understand how to improve our Organic search performance. Presented to the whole company about a new model on personalisation of the customer journey. Supported a company-wide initiative to develop and implement a factorisation model to give our customers more relevant content.

What we look for:

Experience working to dynamic priorities, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to define problems, scope out end-to-end solutions, and manage delivery to completion. Excellent SQL skills, particularly in reference to Google BigQuery, with experience in using analytical and data tooling such as Google Sheets, Python, Tableau, Git, dbt etc. Experience working with raw data, setting up data tracking from scratch for new and existing products. Experience working with customer data and user journeys. Excellent attention to detail, focus on delivering work to a high standard, and ability to work efficiently to project deadlines. Pragmatism; understanding of when analysis is good enough to finish. Statistically literate, competent with some statistical testing or modelling techniques. You don’t need to tick off everything on this list - so don’t let that hold you back from applying. We want to make sure you’re learning plenty during your time with us!

Our commitment to you: At RVU, we are dedicated to developing valuable, inclusive, and user-friendly products and services that deliver positive outcomes for all of our customers. To achieve this, it’s essential that our teams reflect the diverse range of people in our community. We believe in being the change we wish to see in the world, by embracing our differences and holding ourselves accountable to being open and inclusive teammates and wider community members.

What we offer:

We want to give you a great work environment, support your growth both personally and professionally, and provide benefits that make your time at RVU even more enjoyable. Here are some of the benefits you can look forward to: 10% discretionary yearly bonus and yearly pay reviews (based on RVU and personal performance). A hybrid working approach with 2 in-office days per week and up to 22 working days per year to “work from anywhere”. Employer matching pension contributions up to 7.5%. A one-off £300 “Work from Home” budget to help contribute towards a great work environment at home. Excellent maternity, paternity, shared parental and adoption leave policy, for those key moments in your life. 25 days holiday (increasing to 30 days) + 2 days “My Time” per year. Private medical cover, critical illness cover, dental plans and employee assistance programme. Employee discounts programme. A healthy learning and training budget. Electric vehicle and cycle to work schemes. Free in-office gym, accessible 7 days a week. Free breakfast in the office daily. You’ll be equipped with great technology (choice of Mac or Windows). Free access to the Calm and Peppy app for physical and mental health. Regular events - from team socials to company-wide events with insightful external speakers, we want to make sure our colleagues continue to feel connected.
