WHAT TO EXPECT Join JLR as a Senior Data Engineer and play a crucial role in driving our digital transformation! As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing, managing, and engineering diverse data sets using cutting-edge tools to ensure seamless data integration across the organization. In this key role, you’ll support our digital projects by ensuring data is accurate, trusted, and delivered on time. You’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of data architecture, including storage, pipelines, and platform interfaces. You’ll also oversee the data layers of digital products, participate in requirements modelling, testing, and define the flow of data from input to storage, integrating with analytics tools or user-facing software. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Design, create, test and maintain data pipelines to support Digital projects Assemble complex datasets for a range of applications and teams across the business Identify, design and implement process improvements in data pipelines. Automating manual processes, increase scalability, reduce run time and optimise cost Build infrastructure required to support the running of data pipelines that are cost effective, robust and scalable. Build analytic tools and solutions to support the business in data driven decision making and actionable insights Translate business problems into data analytics requirements and solutions that deliver value through analysing and processing data, building and maintaining models and report templates, and developing dynamic, data-driven solutions WHAT YOU’LL NEED Previous experience working in a team in one of the following functions; data analytics, software or application development, database development Experience of designing data models / data architecture Experience in creating tests; unit testing, data quality tests, assumption testing Previous experience and knowledge of modern programming languages & scripts such as Python or Java SQL development and experience in relational or no-SQL databases Previous experience in Google Cloud Platform, AWS or Azure Creating Modern Luxury requires a modern approach to work.
