Here at VEED, we’re constantly tackling complex problems to keep building our product in a way that our users love. As a Senior Data Scientist at VEED, you’ll work closely with the Product, Data and Business Operations & Strategy team, to leverage data to help us solve some of the biggest strategic projects and questions in our business. For example: How changing our pricing structure will impact MRR and Retention? What customer segments or personas do we have in each of our plans? What is the best metric we should track for product experiment X? What main KPI drivers and levers do we have for Retention and Churn? How can we leverage our financial data to build a detailed dashboard to help the whole company understand what’s going on? You’ll sit at the intersection of data & analytics, product, and finance to help us make sense of these critical questions. And you will have great scope to take your career at VEED in whichever way you are most excited! What you will do
Reports: Detailed reports that provide in-depth analysis of specific business problems, trends, and opportunities. Development and deployment of predictive models that forecast future trends, customer behaviours, and business outcomes. Custom machine learning algorithms tailored to address specific business challenges, such as recommendation systems, fraud detection, or customer segmentation. Efficient data pipelines that automate the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources into a centralised data repository. Cleaned and preprocessed datasets that are ready for analysis, ensuring high data quality and reliability. EDA reports that uncover hidden patterns, correlations, and insights within the data, often presented with visualisations. Analyses that quantify the impact of data science initiatives on business metrics, demonstrating ROI and value. Design and analysis of A/B tests to validate the effectiveness of changes in products, features, or marketing strategies. Comprehensive documentation of methodologies, models, code, and data workflows to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing. Clear and compelling presentations that communicate complex data insights and findings to non-technical stakeholders. Automated reporting systems that provide regular updates on key metrics and insights without manual intervention. Optimization models and solutions that improve business processes, resource allocation, and operational efficiency. Training sessions and workshops to upskill team members and promote data literacy within the organisation. Detailed analyses that provide deep insights into customer behaviours, preferences, and lifetime value. Systems to detect and alert on anomalies in business operations, helping to mitigate risks and address issues promptly. Promote a data-driven culture and fluency across the company here at VEED! About You
Previous experience in a data science role, delivering insightful and actionable solutions. You probably have 3-5 years of experience, but this isn’t set in stone! Strong statistical background / education in a quantitative discipline. We use BigQuery, Fivetran, Amplitude, Metabase, hex and dbt amongst other things for our data stack, so experience here would be beneficial, however, experience in

tools (if not these ones) is a must-have Being a Python guru is a must-have. We’d be really excited if you knew SQL and a bit of devops too. A good understanding and experience running and interpreting A/B testing Thorough knowledge of data models and algorithms - you’ll own the process of determining the impact of experiments on our KPIs A track record of success - either demonstrated through promotions at work or through other activities! Possess strategic thinking skills to identify market trends, competitive landscapes, and opportunities for product innovation Highly detail-oriented with a passion for problem-solving - and a bias for taking action Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills (both written and verbal) What we offer
