A SaaS business in Manchester is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join their cross-functional team and contribute to the development of key features. You will utilise your expertise in algorithms and machine learning to enhance the platform and will have the ability to build reliable Python services with well-tested code. You’ll be responsible for deploying new models, providing guidance on effective data visualisation techniques, and collaborating with Engineers to enhance the efficiency of analysing large datasets. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy data science solutions that contribute to product development. Use your expertise in machine learning to derive meaningful insights from large, complex text datasets. Build and deliver scalable data science solutions to improve and enhance the platform’s functionality. Mentor and support junior team members, helping foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Key Skills / Experience: Solid background in data science, with a focus on machine learning and text-based data analysis. Proficiency in Python and a strong understanding of machine learning and data science techniques. Experience with key libraries such as PyTorch, Numpy, Pandas and PyTest. Familiarity with various database technologies such as AWS Aurora, BigQuery, MongoDB, or ElasticSearch. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
